Alluring Waters

Nestled in eastern Kefalonia is one of the most beautiful, traditional Ionian settlements – Agia Efimia

Traditional architecture, the picturesque cove filled with fish tavernas and sailing boats, the endless views of the sea and Ithaca, and green landscapes and crystal-clear waters make up the seaside village of Agia Efimia. Historically, the settlement’s rugged coast and surroundings were ideal, evidenced by the remnants of ancient fortifications discovered in the area. Presently, its esteemed status is upheld for numerous compelling reasons. Adjacent to its location lies Myrtos, a renowned Mediterranean beach. Nearby is the Monastery of Themata, featuring a meticulously-crafted wooden iconostasis and an array of rare icons. Surrounding the area are secluded pebble beaches accessible via excursions by boat.
